Anika Thorsten

Anika graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of Manitoba in October 2025, following a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the same institution in 2023. She is currently working as an Intern Architect at MBAC and is on the path toward registration in Alberta. She has contributed to all phases of design and construction on a diverse range of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and institutional projects across Manitoba, Alberta, and Ontario.

With over two years of professional experience, Anika has developed expertise in creating coordinated drawing packages, producing digital and physical 3D models, and supporting construction administration. She is proficient at consultant coordination, technical documentation, and translating design intent into clear deliverables. Anika is particularly passionate about housing and the missing middle, exploring innovative ways to address affordability, density, and livability within urban contexts.
