Mariah Wilson Chahal

Mariah graduated from the University of Calgary with a Master’s in Management in 2021 and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies in 2019. Throughout her life, she has been engaged in community volunteer work, helping her understand the value of building healthy and vibrant communities that reflect the people who live there. She currently leads the marketing department and assists with project engagement at MBAC.

Before entering the architectural field in 2021, Mariah worked as a photojournalist for five years, covering local news in Calgary, lifestyle and cultural events as well as international travel for publications like the CBC, WestJet magazine, and Avenue Calgary. In addition, Mariah has used her communication, digital media, and engagement skills to assist local non-profits and grassroots initiatives with grant writing, public engagement, market research, and programming over the past decade.
